Our surroundings

Domaine Le Portrait is situated close to the village of Saint-Severin with 700 inhabitants, located in La Charente, on the border with the Dordogne. In the village are all necessities available.

La Charente is one of the four departments of the Poitou-Charentes.

This region has a good climate, an area with nearly the most hours of sunshine in France (300 days per year!) In summer warm but not too hot!

Aubeterre Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is one of "les plus beaux villages" of France
Angoulême the capital of the Charente, with a very rich history and cultural heritage

Cognac a must for the true enthusiast, a city with many rows correctly distillate
Villebois-Lavelette Another beautiful village in the immediate vicinity is the attractive Villebois/Lavalette
